FLORENCE – North Alabama hit at least .500 in each set during a home sweep over Union Friday night in Gulf South Conference volleyball action. The 25-10, 25-12, 25-13 victory gives the Lions an 11-1 record with a 3-1 mark in GSC play.

The Lions used long runs to grab the lead and pull away in each set. After recording a .556 team hitting percentage in the opening game, UNA hit .500 in each of the final two sets to finish the match with a season-high .512 clip.

Five UNA players hit over .400 for the match. While the Lions offensive attack was in full swing, Union struggled. By contrast, five different Bulldogs recorded a negative percentage as the visitors hit just .057 on the night. The Lions also recorded a season-high eight service aces.

Lexie Bradley got a match-high 12 kills to lead UNA. The junior from Florence also hit .556 on the match after taking 18 swings. Peyton Lang reached double digits for the second straight match with 10 kills. She added a .421 hitting percentage.

Jessica Austin, who entered the match leading the GSC with a .370 percentage, hit .600 on the night with six kills on 10 attempts with no errors. Ana Gabriela Pacheco turned in the top percentage of the night, hitting .636 with eight kills.

Jayden Davila-McClary added 33 assists and 10 digs for her eighth double-double of the year. Ashtyn Kapovich also notched a match-high 11 digs.

Katie O'Malley led Union (4-8 overall, 1-3 GSC) with eight kills.

UNA hosts Christian Brothers at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
