UNA VOLLEYBALL DOWNS SHORTER 3-0

FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama volleyball team recorded its fourth consecutive 3-0 sweep Tuesday with a 25-22, 25-22, 25-18 home victory over Shorter. The win gives the Lions a 15-3 overall record with a 5-1 mark in Gulf South Conference play. UNA, which has now won 12 consecutive sets, maintains second place in the GSC standings.
 
Lexie Bradley turned in a match-high 13 kills for UNA while Ana Gabriela Pacheco hit .308 for the match with 11 kills to tie a career high.
 
Jayden Davila-McClary also notched 35 assists while Ava Carnley and Ashtyn Kapovich added 10 digs each.
 
Tiffani Estep led Shorter (9-6 overall, 3-3 GSC) with 10 kills.
 
North Alabama will play at Auburn-Montgomery on Saturday in another GSC showdown. Match time is set for 2 p.m. on the AUM campus.
