KENNESAW STATE TAKES DOWN UNA VOLLEYBALL 3-0

FLORENCE – Kennesaw State maintained in a first-place tie in the ASUN with a 3-0 victory at the University of North Alabama Friday evening at Flowers Hall. The Owls took control early in each set during the 25-9, 25-16, 25-14 victory. With the loss, UNA falls to 3-20 on the year and 1-9 in ASUN play.
 
The Owls (15-6 overall, 8-1 ASUN) got a standout performance from Quin Sutphin, who notched 17 kills and hit .727 on the night. KSU added 12 service aces in the match to remain tied with FGCU atop the league standings.
 
Christina Ellwanger and Anna Katherine Griggs had six kills each to lead the Lions. Breylee Linder posted 13 assists while Mackenzie Sullivan recorded a team-high nine digs.  Griggs and Nura Abaka also teamed up for three blocks for North Alabama.
 
UNA will host ASUN co-leader FGCU on Sunday. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at Flowers Hall.
