KENNESAW, Ga., – Kennesaw State took command midway through each set Sunday in a 3-0 win over the University of North Alabama volleyball team. The 25-16, 25-16, 25-10 road loss gives UNA a 1-6 overall record with a 1-5 mark in ASUN Conference play.
Against the Owls, UNA struggled to find offense, recording a negative hitting percentage for the first time this season. The Lions had 15 kills on 73 swings and added 20 attack errors. KSU added its own solid defensive numbers with 37 digs and 11 total blocks in the three sets.
Maggie Sullivan led UNA with five kills and two blocks. She added an assist and two digs for the Lions. Kennedey Johnson also recorded five assists and five digs for North Alabama.
Kennesaw State (8-0 overall, 8-0 ASUN) was led by Lauren Chastang's match-high 11 kills.
UNA will host Lipscomb on Tuesday. Match time is set for 6 p.m. at Flowers Hall.
