UCA RALLIES FOR 3-2 WIN OVER UNA VOLLEYBALL

CONWAY, Ark., – For the second time this season, the University of North Alabama volleyball team let a 2-0 lead slip away as Central Arkansas rallied for a 3-2 home win Sunday afternoon. The 25-20, 25-21, 13-25, 17-25, 11-15 loss leaves UNA with a 12-12 overall record and 2-10 mark in ASUN Conference play.
 
In the ASUN's 25th five-set match of the season in conference play, UCA improved to 4-1 on the year in those matches while the Lions fell to 1-3. The Sugar Bears also improved to 17-8 overall and 9-3 in league matches to move into a tie for second place.
 
On Sunday, Anna Katherine Griggs led UNA with 13 kills and a .407 hitting percentage. Three other UNA players notched double-doubles on the day including Katy Floyd (10 kills, 15 digs), Taylor Floyd (10 kills, 13 digs) and Elif Ozsoy (40 assists, 12 digs).
 
North Alabama libero Ella Ratzloff also picked up 24 digs and remains atop the league standings with 423 digs on the year. The Woodbury, Minn., native is averaging 4.75 digs per-set on the season.
 
UNA will return home to host Liberty on Nov. 4. Match time is set for 6 p.m. at Flowers Hall.
