LIONS CLOSE OUT VOLLEYBALL SEASON WITH LOSS TO LIPSCOMB

FLORENCE – Lipscomb had four players reach double figures in kills in a 3-0 sweep over the University of North Alabama volleyball team Sunday afternoon at Flowers Hall. The 18-25, 17-25, 13-25 defeat closes out the season for UNA with a 13-15 record, a four-win improvement from a year ago.
 
Against the Bisons, seniors led the way for UNA. Taylor Floyd had seven kills, Ella Ratzloff had 15 digs and Breylee Linder recorded 23 assists.
 
Lipscomb (15-12 overall, 12-4 ASUN) hit .395 in the first and third sets and had a .429 showing in the second set. The Bisons advance to next week's ASUN Tournament in Nashville.
 
Maggie Sullivan added five kills for the Lions. Mattrice Harris had four kills on seven swings for a .571 hitting percentage.
 
Ratzloff's 15 digs gave her 1,996 for her four-year career that included her first four seasons at Rhode Island.
