FLORENCE, Ala. (October 26, 2023) – The North Alabama men's tennis team will prepare for their final away invitationals of the fall season this weekend, as the Lions look to take on the UTC Steve Baras Invite in Chattanooga, Tenn. and the CCB Collegiate Invite in Birmingham, Ala.

In the events hosted by Chattanooga and Samford, respectively, UNA looks to build on the previous performance of the team at the ITA Southern Regionals at Auburn from Oct. 12-17, which resulted in the Lions earning a win in their respective draws. Junior Nazar Fedoryshyn led in total victories in the singles' bracket with two, while freshmen Birtan Buran and Alberto Altur paced in the doubles' bracket with a pair of wins of their own.

This is the second trip UNA will be making to the campus of Samford after competing in the Samford Hidden Dual earlier this fall from Sept. 29-Oct. 1. In the outing, North Alabama finished with 19 wins, placing them in a two-way tie for second in total wins.

In a fall season that has equated to 45 total wins across four events — including sophomore Lachlan Brain's win history at the ITA All-American Championships for UNA's first such win in program history — the Lions looks to finish strong in the final road trips before hosting the North Alabama Invitational on Nov. 3-5 in Florence.
