HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (October 27, 2023) – University of North Alabama Beach Volleyball will compete in its second event of the fall season this weekend at the AVCA Huntsville Pairs Tournament in Huntsville, Ala. from Oct. 28-29. 

Continuing their first fall season in program history, the Lions are making their first of two trips to Huntsville for an AVCA-sponsored event, with the second being next week's AVCA Pairs National Championships. The Pairs Tournament comes three weeks after UNA's last outing, which saw the Lions compete at the UTC Pairs Tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn. 

At Chattanooga, UNA left with 14 wins, with each competing pair winning a match in contests against UTC and NCAA Division II opponent Tusculum.

After this weekend, North Alabama will wrap up the fall season with two tournaments on the same weekend. This includes the return trip to Huntsville for the AVCA Pairs National Championships from Nov. 3-5, while others will head to Birmingham for the UAB Blazer Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 4.
