HATTIESBURG, Miss. (October 30, 2023) – The University of North Alabama women's golf team is tied for eighth place out of 12 teams following two rounds of play on Monday at The Judson, which is being played at Hattiesburg Country Club in Hattiesburg, Miss.

North Alabama rounded out the first 18 holes in sixth place with a score of 297 before closing out the second round with a 308, tying the Lions for eighth with a 605 total. UNA sits just nine strokes back of Drake and Cincinnati, who wrapped up day one tied for fourth. Host Southern Mississippi and ASUN foe Central Arkansas closed out the second round tied for first with a 582, while Tarleton State rounds out the top three with a 592.

Allycia Gan finished the first two rounds with the best individual score for UNA, tying for 17th place with a 148. Gan closed out the first round with an even par 72 before wrapping up her day with a 76. Senior Tori Roush tied for 30th, finishing her day with rounds of 75 and 76 for a 151 total. Those rounds trail just Roush's APSU Intercollegiate second round 74 as her best rounds of the fall. Jahnavi Prakhya enters the final frame one stroke behind Roush, tied for 32nd with a 152. Hannah Dees punched a two-round 155, putting her tied for 43rd, while Cassie Tasney is tied for 48th with a 158.

The Judson is the final fall tournament of the season for UNA, who does not resume play until March 4, 2024 with the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate hosted by Samford. 

Play concludes with the third and final round on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Hattiesburg Country Club.
