FLORENCE, Ala. (November 3, 2023) – The North Alabama men's tennis team will capsulate the 2023 fall season with a home tournament this weekend — the North Alabama Invitational in Florence, Ala. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 4-5.

All matches will be hosted at the Fairgrounds Tennis Courts at Cox Creek Park — across the street from the UNA Beach Volleyball Courts and the Hilda B. Anderson Softball Stadium.

UNA will welcome six teams to the Shoals for their first and only home invitational of the season. The Lions are coming off of a two-invitational weekend in which UNA competed at both the UTC Steve Baras Invite in Chattanooga, Tenn. and the CCB Collegiate Invite in Birmingham, Ala. 

The outings culminated in North Alabama taking home 20 total wins across the two events, with sophomore Lachlan Brain and junior Nazar Fedoryshyn winning their respective draws at the CCB Collegiate Invite. 

ABOUT THE NORTH ALABAMA INVITATIONAL

The North Alabama Invitational will feature singles and doubles action, playing to three-set matches in singles and a six-game set for doubles. For consolation matches, there will be a super-tiebreak on the third set. The tournament will begin Saturday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. with the first round of doubles and conclude the day with singles play. 

Competing teams include Tennessee State, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Troy, Alabama A&M and Samford.
