BATON ROUGE, La. -- The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team came out on the short end of its final two matches at the Tiger Beach Classic, falling 3-2 to UAB and 5-0 to host LSU.

The Lions had gone 2-1 in matches on Saturday.

Against UAB, UNA's No. 2 pair of Katy Floyd and Mackenzie Martin got a three set win for the Lions, as did Selma Robinson and Martha McLaurin at No. 3. For Floyd and Martin, it was their fourth straight win of the weekend. THat streak ended with a 21-13, 21-19 loss to LSU's No. 2 pair in the following match.

UNA's No. 1 pair of Paula Klemperer and Taylor Seney took the nationally ranked Tigers to a third set before falling 21-14, 18-21, 15-7.

North Alabama will host its next six matches at home at Cox Creek Park, beginning March 10 against Austin Peay.
