OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala.-- A final round 292 helped the University of North Alabama women's golf team move up four spots on Tuesday to finished yied for sixth in the ASUN Conference Championships at RTJ at Hampton Cove.
The 292 was the lowest round total by a UNA women's golf team in the ASUN Tournament in school history.
Lipscomb won the tournament with a three-round 904 total, with UNA just 10 strokes back at 914.
UNA's
Jahnavi Prakhya , from Gujarat, India, entered the final round tied for the individual lead but fell five strokes off the pace to finish tied for seventh. That was the highest individual by a Lion in the ASUN Tournament.
UNA senior
Jackie Klemm rallied on the final day to fire a 69 and jumped to a tie for 18th in the final standings at 230.
Allycia Gan tied for 33rd (234),
Hannah Pope tied for 45th (237) and
Hannah Dees tied for 49th (239).
Klemm's 69 was the lowest single round by a UNA individual in the ASUN Tournament, surpassing Prakhya's 70 in the second round of this year's tournament.
