FLORENCE, Ala. -- The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team closed the home portion of its 2023 schedule with a pair of wins over New Orleans and Chattanooga by identical 4-1 scores.

In the opening match, UNA took wins at No. 1, 2, 4 and 5, highlighted by comebacks in the second and third sets by the No. 5 pair of Kati Anderson and Sarah Larkin Lewis. They rallied from an 18-13 deficit to take the sceond set 21-19, and were then down 13-8 in the third set but won 16-14.

The Lions followed with a strong 4-1 win over Chattanooga with wins at the top four pairs.

UNA returns to the courts on April 14-15 at the Bear Beach Bash in Macon, Ga.
