FLORENCE, Ala. (August 10, 2023) – In a joint announcement on Thursday, the University of North Alabama Department of Athletics and 306 Barbecue in downtown Florence announced a partnership where UNA will host its live weekly radio broadcast of the UNA Football Hour with Coach Brent Dearmon.
 
The one-hour show, live from the Back Alley Bar, is scheduled for Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. throughout the season. The UNA Football Hour will air live on WLX 98.3 / 103.5 FM radio.
 
The show kicks off on August 22 and features UNA head football coach Brent Dearmon alongside Voice of the Lions Benjamin Ray and co-host Mike Ezekiel. Joining Dearmon each week will be various players and members of the coaching staff. The first show will include a preview of the upcoming seasons, while subsequent episodes will recap the previous week and preview the upcoming opponent.

"Our downtown location is just steps away from campus, and we felt this is a perfect combination of location, great food and Division I football."
 
The show is open to the public and Lion fans are encouraged to attend.

The downtown 306 Barbecue is located at 322 North Court Street in downtown Florence.
