FLORENCE, Ala. (October 30, 2024) – Once a month, the University of North Alabama Department of Athletics features local student-athletes with ties to the Shoals area with the monthly "Homegrown Series" presented by First Southern Bank.
 
This edition features true freshman football player Leo Glover.
 
Glover is a local product from Florence High School, where he was a two-time all-region selection for the Falcons as a quarterback and safety. Glover also played basketball at Florence. He is one of the few who can claim to play a high school and college home game in the same stadium, as he has suited up for the Lions four times this season. He recorded his first career tackle against No. 10 Abilene Christian, helping UNA to a historic 47-34 win.
