GREENWOOD, Ind. (March 26, 2024) – Senior forward Damian Forrest represented the University of North Alabama men's basketball team with another academic repeat honor, as he was selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team Tuesday.

For the second straight season, Forrest lands both Academic All-ASUN honors and CSC Academic All-District. This season, Forrest was the only unanimous selection for the eight-player ASUN academic team, which is voted on by the league's sports information directors and academic representatives.

The senior forward is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance and owns a 3.81 GPA.

Last season, Forrest was named to the Academic All-ASUN Team, the CSC Academic All-District Team and was named a 2022-23 ASUN Winter Winner for Life.

On the court, Forrest finished the regular season averaging 10.1 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game to rank second in the conference. In his most recent outing, Forrest scored 18 points with seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals in an 82-78 win over Central Arkansas.

The Colorado native also had a career-high 21 points to go with nine rebounds at Lipscomb earlier this season. He has started 90 games over the last three seasons at UNA, ranking fourth all-time in most Division I games played in a UNA uniform.

Forrest is up for vote in the CSC Academic All-America voting pool, which is selected by sports information directors across the nation. The All-America team will be announced Wednesday, April 17.
