DELAND, Fla. (April 25, 2024) – The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team suffered a 3-0 quarterfinal defeat Thursday morning to No. 1 North Florida in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament in DeLand, Fla.
Despite the loss, the Lions still have a chance to make the tournament final. UNA moves into the elimination bracket with the potential to play two duals on day three. North Alabama will face either No. 6 Jacksonville or No. 7 Central Arkansas to open the day, with the winner playing a second match later in the afternoon. A loss would warrant elimination from the tournament.

Ryenne Gepford kept it close in the first set but fell to the Ospreys' Iris Fletcher and Katie Camp, 21-18, before a 21-11 second-set defeat.
With day two complete, the Lions head into day three with a 21-12 record. North Florida improves to 22-11 and advances to play the winner of No. 2 Stetson and No. 3 FGCU in the winner's bracket.
