MACON, Ga. (April 9, 2024) – The University of North Alabama women's golf team placed seventh in the Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer in Macon, Ga on Tuesday. Jahnavi Prakhya and Tori Roush each picked up top 10 finishes in the event, tying for eighth.
 
North Alabama finished out the Brickyard Collegiate in sole possession of seventh place with a score of 912. Despite the seventh-place finish, UNA finished just 10 strokes back of second place in the event. Host Mercer took home the tournament crown with an 18-over-par 882 total, leading after each of the three rounds. Belmont and UAB tied for second place with a 902 total, while UNC Asheville and Southern Miss round out the top five team finishers. UNA finished just two strokes behind Central Arkansas while leading Seminole State and Southern Illinois.
 
Jahnavi Prakhya and Tori Roush finished the event tied for eighth-place after turning in cards of 223. The pair each turned in a first round of 72 with Prakhya closing the tournament out with second and third rounds of 75 and 76 and Roush finishing the event with rounds of 75 and 76. 
 
Prakhya has now led UNA in four of nine events this season, while Roush's eighth place finish is the best of her career, surpassing her 15th place finish earlier this season at the APSU Intercollegiate. 
 
Allycia Gan jumped 11 spots into 29th place after picking up three birdies in the third round of the tournament to bring her total to 232. Hannah Dees tied for 45th place with a 242 total, while Kerigan Klauber placed 49th with a 247 total.
 
Roush and Prakhya led the team with eight birdies apiece, combining for 16 of North Alabama's 24 birdies. 
 
UNA returns to action on April 14-16 with the ASUN Women's Golf Championship at RTJ Hampton Cove in Owens Crossroads, Ala.
