FLORENCE, Ala. (October 20, 2025) – On Monday, the United Athletic Conference announced weekly awards for games played on Oct. 18. The University of North Alabama won two of the four awards with
Jayvian Allen winning UAC Offensive Player of the Week and
Noah Gregg winning UAC Freshman of the Week.
Both players are first time weekly award winners from the UAC.
The awards come off the heels of a 35-14 win over Eastern Kentucky on UNA's Homecoming. The Lions took a 14-7 lead near the end of the first half and scored 21 unanswered in the second half to seal the win. UNA improved to 54-21-1 in homecoming games.
Allen, a redshirt senior, brought the "Juice" this past weekend with 13 carries for 98 yards and three touchdowns. The three touchdowns are a new career high for Allen. He also becomes the first UNA player to rush for three touchdowns since ShunDerrick Powell rushed for three against EKU in 2022.
Gregg, a redshirt freshman, continued his first full rookie season with three catches for 28 yards and a touchdown against the Colonels. The touchdown came with 20 seconds to go in the half and was ultimately the go-ahead touchdown. Gregg has caught a touchdown pass in four of the last five games.
UNA has won the most UAC Freshman of the Week awards since the league's first season in 2023 with nine. Austin Peay has the second-most with six. UNA's awards come from
Jalen Fletcher and
Josh Anglin with three apiece, as well as Gregg,
Jyheam Ingram and
Fred Vili with one.
Four of the five freshman winners are still with the Lions.
This marks the third weekly award for UNA this season. Redshirt junior kicker
Ian Vachon was named the UAC Specialist of the Week in week three of the season back in September.
UNA returns to action at Austin Peay on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. in Clarksville, Tenn.
