FLORENCE, Ala. (October 28, 2025) – The University of North Alabama volleyball team is set for home action on Wednesday against the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears in CB&S Bank Arena. The match will begin at 6 p.m.
The Lions prep for their second midweek match of the season in what will be a return trip for the Sugar Bears. North Alabama continues Atlantic Sun Conference play with its third-straight match in "The Bank."
The contest will be available for streaming on ESPN+, and live stats will be provided through StatBroadcast. Full results and a recap will be posted on RoarLions.com following the action, but fans can also follow along in real time on the UNA Volleyball social media pages.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the match, as parking is limited due to ongoing construction. As such, the lot near the Hal Self Athletic Annex will be unavailable. Violators will be towed if parked in the construction zone.
Fans are encouraged to park in Lot O below the arena, the Science Building lot or in the parking deck across from the arena. Limited handicap parking will be available in front of the CB&S Bank Arena ticket office.

NOTES
SCOUTING THE LIONS: North Alabama continues the homestand with a 12-11 record while 6-4 in conference play. Last time out, UNA triumphed over the visiting Bellarmine Knights in a four-set victory in CB&S Bank Arena. The Lions continue to hold a strong home record at 7-2 with five of the wins coming in ASUN play.
"SETTING" THE TONE: Sophomore Kinslee McGowan is second in the ASUN in assists per set (10.09) and leads the conference with 878 assists. The sophomore is also second on the team in digs (198) and service aces (25).
KENDALL ON THE ATTACK: Junior Kendall Barnes leads the team with 308 kills. She ranks first in the ASUN in total kills and second in kills per set (3.58). Her 340.5 total points ranks first in the conference while ranking second in points per set (3.96). Barnes set a new career high with 31 kills against FGCU on Oct. 12. She is five kills away from achieving 500 kills in her career.
ACING THE COMPETITION: Junior Olivia Fenoff has 31 service aces on the season, ranking her tied for third in the ASUN. Her 0.38 ace per set average is fifth in the conference.
RELIABLE RICKETTS: Sophomore Reese Ricketts is second on the team with 275 kills and is tied for third with 3.24 kills per set. Ricketts additionally ranks fifth in the conference with 3.64 points per set.
SURGING SARGENT: Junior Nicole Sargent leads the team with a .350 hitting percentage. Her percentages rank her third in the conference, totaling 135 kills on the season. She additionally leads the team with 53 blocks.
GARNER'S GAINS: Sophomore Dylann Garner has been a spark for the Lions in year two, totaling the third most team kills with 174. She is also tied for third in blocks with sophomore Amelia Keating with 35. Garner exploded in the season's second match with 21 kills against SEMO on August 30.
CALLING ON KOLOSTA: Freshman Jenna Kolosta has 75 kills, 39 blocks and 19 digs in her first collegiate season. The rookie has been a force on defense, ranking second on the team in blocks. Kolosta earned her first career award on Sept. 8 with an ASUN Freshman of the Week honor.
DIGGIN' DEEP: Junior Ava Martindale leads the team with 281 total digs and a 3.23 digs per set average.
AMONG THE RANKS: UNA is ranked in the top 100 nationally in a number of individual statistics as of Oct. 27. McGowan is fifth in the NCAA in total assists while 33rd in assists per set. Barnes is 55th in total kills while 71st in points. Fenoff rounds out the leaders ranked 91st nationally in total service aces.
MILESTONE LIONS: North Alabama has seen several milestones achieved the season. Fenoff tallied her 50th career service ace against Grambling State on Aug. 30. McGowan registered her 500th career assist against Alabama A&M on Sept. 2. Head Coach Tristan Johnson won his 50th career match on Sept. 12 in a three-set home sweep over Western Carolina. Ricketts surpassed 500 career kills against McNeese on Sept. 19. Sophomore Lankford Gurner set a Division I program record with six aces against Lipscomb on Sept. 28. McGowan also set a Division I program record with 60 assists against FGCU on Oct. 12.
SCOUTING CENTRAL ARKANSAS: Central Arkansas travels to Florence fourth in the ASUN at 10-10 overall and 7-3 in conference play. The Sugar Bears look to get back in the win column after dropping both home matchups last time out against Bellarmine and EKU on Oct. 24-26. Despite the defeats, UCA has won three of its last five matches. Central Arkansas is second in the ASUN in both opponent blocks (1.62 per set) and blocks (2.30). Alexis McDaniel leads the conference in digs per set (4.25), and Laci Bohannan paces the team in points (268.5) and kills (227).
SERIES HISTORY VS. THE SUGAR BEARS: North Alabama and Central Arkansas meet for the second time this season and 17th time in the series history. UNA leads 9-7 and have claimed three of the past five matches. The Sugar Bears won the first meeting this season in four-sets on Oct. 1.
