HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (November 6, 2025) – The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team caps the 2025 fall season from Nov. 7-9 with two events — the AVCA Pairs National Championships and the UAB Fall Pairs Tournament.
North Alabama stays in-state for its final fall campaigns, traveling to Huntsville for the AVCA Championships and Birmingham for the UAB tournament. The championships will run from Nov. 7-9 while the UAB invitational is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8.
Senior Selma Robinson and graduate Audrey Gauthier will represent North Alabama in Huntsville as they prep for the nation's best in the three-day tournament. The remaining Lions look to end the season strong at UAB.
UNA's appearance at the championships mark the third-straight year after competing in both 2023 and 2024. For Robinson, she will play in her third championship. The senior finished 54th last season with Ryenne Gepford while finishing 29th in 2023 with former player and current assistant coach Mackenzie Martin.
Former standouts Paula Klemperer and Taylor Seney additionally competed in 2023, finishing 23rd.

ABOUT THE AVCA PAIRS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Robinson and Gauthier open the weekend on Friday, Nov. 7, with the two facing UCLA's Ensley Alden and Mallory LaBreche at 10:30 a.m. to open the championship bracket.
The winner will advance further in the bracket with the loser moving immediately to the 33rd-place consolation bracket. The consolation brackets consist of eight brackets ranging from 33rd, 37th, 41st, 45th, 49th, 53rd, 57th and 61st place. Each pair will continue playing until a definitive place is reached in the bracket.

ABOUT THE UAB FALL PAIRS TOURNAMENT
The UAB tournament sees the Lions set to compete against pairs from the hosts along with South Florida and Georgia State. The day will consist of pool play with each pool to play in six matches. The invitational will have seven pools with a UNA duo in each pool.
