MARTIN, Tenn. (March 18, 2025) – The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team travels to Tennessee on Wednesday, March 19 for two road bouts against the UT Martin Skyhawks.

North Alabama makes the road trip to Martin following two wins from its home outing at the Shoals Beach Bash last time out. However, inclement weather shortened the weekend and limited UNA to just two duals.

With North Alabama back in action, the Lions hope to leave with two more wins before facing a stretch of seven-straight foes from the Atlantic Sun Conference.

North Alabama's first bout against the Skyhawks is set for noon, with first serve for the second dual at 2 p.m. Live stats will be available for both duals, courtesy of StatBroadcast.

SCOUTING THE LIONS: North Alabama has found its rhythm with the season at the halfway mark, winning the last eight of 10 duals. Of the eight wins, five have been sweeps in routs against South Florida, UT Martin, New Orleans, EKU and Missouri State. The Lions added its fifth sweep last time out at the Shoals Beach Bash, where UNA went 2-0 with wins against the Chattanooga and Missouri State. Flights one, three and five for North Alabama finished the outing undefeated. Senior Katy Floyd and junior Selma Robinson tallied their ninth and 10th season win, with sophomore Aurora Bibolotti and freshman Paige Griner improving their season record to 10-4. Graduate Kaitlyn Holbrook and junior Hailey Benesz picked up two wins, now totaling eight victories for the fifth-flight duo.

SCOUTING UT MARTIN: The Skyhawks are 7-5 on the year, coming off an appearance at the Sugar Beach Bash last time out in Louisiana. Hosted by Southeastern Louisiana, UT Martin defeated the Lady Lions with additional wins against Spring Hill and New Orleans. The Skyhawks also had a competitive bout against Tulane but fell in the opening dual, 3-2. UT Martin's Kayla Bryant and Olivia O'Keefe have the team high in wins with eight, but fourth-flight pair Sydney Eckhardt and Reagan McGee are unbeaten with a 7-0 record. Prior to the season, the Skyhawks were selected to finish second in Preseason OVC Poll. UT Martin is coached by Jaclynn Wilson.

SERIES HISTORY VS. THE SKYHAWKS: North Alabama and UT Martin play for the second time this season and 11th time in the series. The Lions lead 8-2 with UNA sweeping the Skyhawks, 5-0, on March 7 at the March To May Invitational.
