NOTABLES

THE FIELD: The Lions are one of just seven teams in this tournament, including Bryant, Richmond, Tennessee Tech, Murray State and in-state opponents Samford and Jacksonville State. Last week, UNA played in Samford's home tournament in Huntsville.

ORDER OF EVENTS: Tee times will start at 8:30 with 18 holes each day, beginning Sunday. Players will start on the Mindbreaker course and then play the Heartbreaker course.

THE COURSE: Surrounded by the Appalachian foothills and Lee's Lake, RTJ Silver Lakes features the most unique and aptly named courses on The Trail and all 36 greens boast beautiful and lightning-quick Champion Ultradwarf putting surfaces. The Mindbreaker is an unforgettable blend of shorter, elusive holes set in a beautiful sanctuary of woods, water and wetlands. The Heartbreaker nine provides a unique mix of great golf holes and unequaled character. The final three holes showcase elevation changes and dramatic lake vistas.

THE LINEUP: UNA will go with the same lineup as last week — two seniors and three freshmen, including veterans Jahnavi Prakhya and Hannah Dees in the top two slots. Elsa Maren Steinarsdottir will get her second career tournament play start for the Lions. Rounding out the order are freshmen Sirichaya Chanpen and Olivia Whittle, who played in four events in the fall. Kerigan Klauber will play as an individual.

LAST TIME OUT: The Lions had a solid showing last week at the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate, finishing second for just the third time in the program's seven year history. The Lions had a final card of 49-over-par 913 to finish just six strokes away from the winner, Troy. UNA shot just seven over in the first round for the lowest round of any team. Dees was a big part in that, shooting two-under-par 70 and finishing tied for fifth along with Whittle. Whittle had a strong final round despite windy conditions, including three birdies to move 12 spots up the leaderboard.
