FLORENCE, Ala. (September 10, 2025) – The North Alabama women's soccer team's final non-conference game against Mississippi Valley State on Thursday, Sept. 18 has been canceled, MVSU announced Tuesday evening.

Mississippi Valley State University Athletics cited unforeseen health and safety concerns within the program as the reason for canceling the remainder of the 2025 season, according to an MVSU athletic department press release.

The decision, effective immediately, was made in consultation with university leadership and medical staff and follows NCAA guidelines.
 
North Alabama will conclude its non-conference schedule Sunday, Sept. 14, with a 6 p.m. game against Tennessee Tech. Afterward, the Lions have a week off before hosting Central Arkansas to open conference play.
