FLORENCE, Ala. (September 2, 2025) – University of North Alabama head men's basketball coach
Tony Pujol officially announced the full schedule for the 2025-26 season on Tuesday, which includes 11 non-conference games.
The Lions will play five non-conference home games, including an exhibition against Stillman on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. This game will be ticketed and open to the public. The four regular season home games will all take place in November.
Today, the Atlantic Sun Conference announced a scheduling alliance with the Southern Conference for the second straight season. UNA will host East Tennessee State on Nov. 15 and will travel to Chattanooga on Nov. 22.
Other challenges on the schedule include trips to Mississippi State and Clemson, an excursion to longtime in-state rival Jacksonville State, a home bout against Northwestern State and California trips to battle San Francisco and LMU, among others.
"I'm pleased with the way our non-conference schedule shapes up this season," said Pujol, who enters his eighth season at UNA. "Each of our opponents present challenges that will help us prepare for ASUN play."

NOTES
STARTING WITH STILLMAN: The Lions will play an exhibition at home against Stillman to open the 2025-26 season. Though the game will not be streamed or count on the record, fans can get an early jump on the gameday experience and purchase tickets to watch.
POWER TRIPS: The Lions officially tipoff the season on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Mississippi State. This will mark UNA's third trip to Starkville since 2021 and the sixth all-time. UNA will also travel to Clemson on Monday, Nov. 17 for the first all-time meeting between the two programs. Both start times are TBD.
HOME COOKING: UNA fans will have four opportunities to catch a non-conference home game inside CB&S Bank Arena this season, including dates against Lane (Nov. 7), Northwestern State (Nov. 11), ETSU (Nov. 15) and UT Southern (Nov. 25). The first two games will tipoff at 6 p.m., the ETSU game will take place at 2 p.m. and the UT Southern game will start at noon to ring in the Thanksgiving holiday. Last season, UNA averaged 2,368 fans inside CB&S Bank Arena to lead the ASUN in attendance.
REGIONAL REVISIT: On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Lions will travel up the Tennessee Mountains to Chattanooga for a game against the Mocs. Despite their nearby proximity, this will be first men's basketball game between UNA and UTC since 1970 — 55 years ago. UNA looks to snap a seven-game skid that dates back to 1966.
DECEMBER TRAVEL PLANS: The Lions will play just four times in the month of December — all of which will be on the road. This begins on Monday, Dec. 1 against Jacksonville State. The last time UNA visited the Gamecocks came in 2022, resulting in a 66-62 road win for the Lions.
SHOWING CALIFORNIA SOME LOVE: UNA will play two California teams in December, starting with a trip to San Francisco to face the Dons on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The non-conference slate ends the same way as last season with a trip to Los Angeles to play Loyola Marymount (LMU) on Friday, Dec. 19.
NORTH ALABAMA SHOWDOWN: On Monday, Dec. 15, the Lions will make a short trek to Alabama A&M. UNA's last trip to Huntsville resulted in an 84-76 road win in 2022. Tipoff from the AAMU Event Center is set for 7 p.m.
