JACKSONVILLE (September 22, 2025) – University of North Alabama sophomore Kinslee McGowan was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week, the league office on Monday afternoon.
McGowan continued her strong sophomore season with a standout performance at the Cougar Challenge, collecting her second weekly honor in three weeks.
In matches against McNeese, Houston and Liberty, McGowan totaled 100 assists for an average of 9.09 per set. She added 28 digs, 14 kills, nine service aces and six blocks over 11 sets, leading the Lions in assists, digs and aces for the weekend.
She opened with a match-high 29 assists against McNeese on Sept. 19, while also contributing four service aces and eight digs. The following day on Sept. 20 against Houston, she again tallied 29 assists.
McGowan saved her best for Liberty, recording a match-high 42 assists to go with 13 digs, five service aces, five kills and four blocks. The Cleveland, Tenn., native set a career high in aces and paced UNA in assists, digs and aces in the match.
McGowan looks to continue her run of form on Friday, Sept. 26, in the Lions' ASUN opener in CB&S Bank Arena vs. Austin Peay at 6 p.m.
