Biography

UNA 2016: Cruz saw action in two sets for the Lions as a true freshman in 2016...both sets came on Sept. 13, during a 3-0 home win over West Alabama...she recorded a kill, a service ace and two digs in the match.

HIGH SCHOOL: She prepped at Dakota Ridge High School for coach Nikki Kneuer...played outside hitter and received all-conference honors her junior and senior seasons...also lettered in track and field for the Eagles.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Genevieve Lauren Cruz. She is the daughter of Wayne and Tori Cruz. She was born on September 20, 1997 and has one brother. She is majoring in criminal justice at UNA.
