Elijah Haggard is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach at North Alabama and will work with the linebackers in 2020.
Prior to coming to UNA, he served as a defensive student assistant coach at the University of Tennessee-Martin. In 2018, the Skyhawks led the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring defense, allowing 19.5 points per game in league play. UTM's defense was also prominent in the 2017 national statistics.
In all he worked as a student assistant at UTM from 2015 until his graduation in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, focused in Biology.
He then worked for six months as linebacker coach at Avila University in Kansas City, Mo.
A Parsons, Tenn., native, he is a 2015 graduate of Riverside High School where he played football.
