Logan Ellis has been a mainstay in the North Alabama Football equipment room for nearly a decade, as his career began as a student manager in 2016. Upon his graduation, he was elevated to head equipment manager for the 2021 football season.
Ellis will enter his 10th football season on staff in 2025, including four as a student manager and film specialist and six as the head equipment manager. Entering the 2025 season, Ellis has worked 88 football games for UNA.
In his role, Ellis is responsibile for the inventory and upkeep of all UNA football equipment, including uniforms, practice gear and game day equipment. He and his staff work all football practices, workouts and games, including set-up and tear down of locker rooms and sidelines, laundry, equipment maintenance and inventory of all items used by the program.
During his first season on staff, the Lions finished with an 11-2 record, winning the Gulf South Conference and making a run to the 2016 NCAA Division II National Championship game, finishing runner-up to Northwest Missouri State. Ellis was also on staff for the transition from Division II to Division I in 2018, helping the football staff make a seamless transition to FCS competition.
Ellis has also been instrumental in the transition to Bank Independent Stadium, which will become UNA's first on-campus football stadium in 2026. He has been responsible for much of the transport and storage of equipment in the move to the temporary practice site located at the Cox Creek Spring Sports Complex.
In January 2025, Ellis received an invite to work the Senior Bowl in Mobile.
Ellis is from Fort Payne, Alabama and graduated from UNA in 2020 with a degree in communications. He currently resides in Florence.
