Brandt Danals

Danals enters his second season at director of basketball operations at North Alabama. He came to UNA after spending two seasons as athletic director and men’s basketball head coach at NAIA Holy Family College in Manitowoc, Wisc.
 
Prior to the school permanently closing its doors in 2020, he led the team to the most successful season in program history, culminating in the Lakers’ first-ever national tournament berth. Holy Family set a school record for wins and earned a berth in the USCAA Division I National Tournament. The Lakers also produced double-digit wins the previous season and produced multiple All-American and Academic All-American selections during Danals’ two-year tenure with the program.
 
Before coming to Holy Family, Danals was an assistant coach on the Indiana Tech men’s basketball team, helping lead the Warriors to a pair of appearances at the NAIA Division II national tournament. His main responsibilities included recruiting, scouting, film breakdown, post-player development, social media management, fundraising and the management of basketball operations. In addition, he also served as the school's head men's and women's tennis coach. Prior to his time at Indiana Tech, Danals served as the boy’s basketball head coach at Crestview High School in Ashland, Ohio.   
 
Danals graduated from Ashland University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in education while also serving as a member of the basketball team. He is a native of Loudonville, Ohio.
