Biography

UNA 2016: Carden saw action in 40 games, including 33 starts in the outfield in 2016...she batted .287 on the year after going 25-of-87 at the plate with four doubles, three triples and 10 RBI...posted a pair of 2-for-2 showings against Truman State (Feb. 20) and Lee (March 12)...received the NCAA Elite 90 Award, given to the player at each championship event with the highest GPA in their respected sport.

UNA 2015: She played in 42 games in 2015 with 36 starts...hit .237 with five doubles, a triple and nine RBI...went 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI on April 26 against Shorter.

UNA 2014: She played in 52 of 56 games as a true freshman for the Lions in 2014...started 50 games in the outfield...was 42-of-159 for a .264 batting average...drove in 20 runs and also produced seven doubles on the year...had a pair of three-hit games against Christian Brothers (March 14) and Miles (April 16).

HIGH SCHOOL: She prepped at Bob Jones High School for coach Kent Chambers...helped lead the Patriots to consecutive area championships and state playoff berths in 2011 and 2012...received an All-State honorable mention as a senior and played in the 2012 AHSAA North/South All-Star Game...finished her high school career with a .347 batting average, .944 fielding percentage, 27 doubles, 104 runs scored and 82 RBI.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Amy Carden. She was born on August 10, 1995. She is the daughter of Rick and Alice Carden and has one sister. She is majoring in secondary education at UNA.
