Biography

UNA 2017: Wright played in 31 games last season, getting seven starts in the outfield...she batted .231 with a triple and was 7-of-9 in stolen base attempts...went 2-for-4 with a run scored on March 26 at Delta State.

UNA 2016: She saw action in 44 games on the year, including two starts for UNA in the outfield...batted .222 on the year, going 2-for-9 at the plate with an RBI.

HIGH SCHOOL: She played at Buckhorn High School for coach Al Rauls...helped lead the Bucks to a an area championship as a senior in 2015 and a fourth-place finish in the Class 7A state tournament the same season...was named the team's best outfielder from 2014-15 and had the most stolen bases from 2011-15.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Destiny Renee Wright. She was born on June 20, 1997. She is the daughter of Robert and Kim Wright and has one brother. She is majoring in exercise science at UNA.
