Biography

UNA 2017: Roberts saw action in 27 games last season, getting starts in 22 contest at catcher and designated player...she batted .222 with three RBI...had 14 hits, including four doubles and two home runs...scored three runs...had a trio of multiple-hit games, including a 3-for-3 showing at the plate on April 1 against Alabama Huntsville.

UNA 2016: She played in 41 games, with 36 starts at catcher for the Lions as a true freshman in 2016...batted .307 on the year with six doubles, six home runs and 22 RBI...had a .545 slugging percentage and 10 runs scored...had seven multiple-hit games, including a 2-for-2 showing with a pair of home runs on Feb. 27 against Shorter.

UNA 2015: Received a redshirt for the 2015 season.

HIGH SCHOOL: She prepped at Deshler High School for coach Neal Rogers...played catcher, first base and third base for the Tigers at the Class 4A level, helping the team make a regional appearance in 2013...was a four-time all-county selection from 2011-14, earning All-State honors in 2014...also posted the team's highest batting average and home run record during the 2014 season...finished her high school career with a .446 batting average, 44 RBI, 14 home runs and a .556 on-base percentage.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Mackenzie Roberts. She was born on January 25, 1996. She is the daughter of Brian and Leigh Ann Roberts and has one sister, Madeline. She is majoring in secondary education and english at UNA.
