Haley Marett

Haley Marett enters her first season as graduate assistant coach at North Alabama. The former libero and defensive specialists at Edinboro University lettered four years before serving as student assistant coach for the Scots in 2015. She graduated in 2016 with a degree in HPE teacher certification/human performance with a minor in coaching.

Marett closed her career at Ediborbo with 2,082 digs, the second highest total in school history and seventh in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) history. As a senior, she reached double figures in digs in each of the 33 matches played, including a career-high 37 on Oct. 11 against Pitt-Johnstown. She was a 2014 second team All-PSAC selection and helped lead the Scots to the NCAA Tournament.

For her career, she averaged 4.52 digs per set and holds the school single-season record with 751 digs set during the 2013 campaign.

Marett spent the 2015 season as a student assistant coach for Edinboro. The Scots went 31-7 on the year and advanced to the NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament.

The Volant, Pa., native prepped at Wilmington Area where the team went 16-3 her senior year, winning the District 10 championship after finishing as the runner-up the year before. She had 638 assists and 251 digs as a senior and was named Wilmington’s Athlete of the Year. She was also a two-time first team All-District 10 selection.

Marett is pursuing a master’s degree in sports management at UNA.
