FLORENCE – Rachel Neblett hit .484 with a match-high 18 kills to lead West Florida past North Alabama Friday evening in Gulf South Conference volleyball action. The 13-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-25 home loss snaps UNA's nine-match winning streak and gives the Lions a 11-3 overall record and 1-1 mark in GSC play.

After hitting .000 in each of the first two sets to fall behind in the match, UNA avoided the sweep with a 25-18 victory. The Lions hit .308 in the frame and held UWF to a .000 hitting percentage.

The Argonauts, however, recovered in the fourth set. Neblett led all players with five kills in the frame and UWF (10-4 overall, 2-0 GSC) maintained first place in the league standings.

Jessica Austin led North Alabama with 14 kills. Lexie Bradley added 11 kills while Jayden Davila-McClary turned in 35 assists on the night. Three players reached double figures in digs for UNA, including Ashtyn Kapovich's match-high 19 digs. Sina Faulk added 16 digs while Ava Carnley recorded 10 digs for the Lions.

UNA will host Valdosta State in another key GSC match on Saturday. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at Flowers Hall.
