UNA VOLLEYBALL OPENS CROSSOVER WILL LOSS TO FGCU

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., – FGCU maintained first place in the ASUN South Division with a 3-0 victory over the University of North Alabama volleyball Friday in the opening day of the second Conference Crossover Weekend. With the 25-13, 25-15, 25-15 neutral-court loss in Jacksonville, UNA falls to 7-15 on the season and 1-8 in ASUN play.
 
The Eagles (17-4 overall, 9-0 ASUN) led wire to wire in each set, hitting .403 for the match while UNA was held to a negative team hitting percentage (-.039) for the first time on the season.
 
Kamryn Parsonage led the Lions with seven kills. Breylee Linder had 12 assists while Katie Gerig had five digs on the day. Three different players had seven kills each to lead FGCU.
 
UNA will remain on the Jacksonville University campus to face the host Dolphins on Saturday. Match time is set for 2 p.m. (CST) at Swisher Gymnasium.
