UNA VOLLEYBALL FALLS AT JACKSONVILLE STATE

JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State hit .415 as a team in a 3-0 ASUN win over the University of North Alabama volleyball team Friday night. The 12-25, 16-25, 21-25 road loss leaves the Lions with a 6-13 record, including an 0-6 start to conference play.
 
JSU's Lena Kindermann had 14 kills and the Gamecocks recorded 12 total blocks on the night.
 
AK Griggs led UNA with nine kills. The junior from Arab added three blocks of her own. Mattrice Harris also had seven kills on 10 swings for the Lions. Breylee Linder recorded 17 assists.
 
Defensively, the Lions were held to 24 digs with no player recording more than five digs on the night.
 
UNA returns to Flowers Hall on Monday. The Lions will take on Middle Tennessee at 6:30 p.m.
