FLORENCE, Ala. (October 4, 2023) – The University of North Alabama men's basketball team is just over a month away from its regular season opener against Blue Mountain Christian inside CB&S Bank Arena at Flowers Hall and are in full practice mode this month.

This preseason Lion Vision Update catches up with UNA men's basketball coach Tony Pujol and veteran forwards Dallas Howell and Damian Forrest. Pujol enters his sixth season at the helm following an 18-win season and a postseason appearance in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) last season. Forrest enters his third season at UNA, while Howell is in his fourth.

UNA fans will get their first opportunity to meet the Lions at Purple Pandemonium this Friday, Oct. 6 from 6-7 p.m. on Court Street in downtown Florence as part of "First Fridays." The event is free of charge and open to the public. The Lions will also join their conference peers at the inaugural ASUN Tipoff event set for Monday, Oct. 16 in Clarksville, Tenn.
