JACKSONVILLE, Ala. -- North Alabama was held to one run on four hits in the second game of an ASUN Conference baseball series with Jacksonville State as the Gamecocks took an 8-1 win at Jim Case Stadium.
With the loss, UNA is now 9-32 overall and 3-17 in ASUN play.
The Lions' only run of the game came in the third inning when
Cal Cook drove in
Jackson Ferrigno to tie the game at 1-1 at that point. JSU score a run in the bottom of the third to retake the lead and added two in the fifth and four in the seventh.
Ferrigno's 16-game hitting streak for UNA came to and end as he went 0-for-3 in the game.

Jacob James (2-4) pitched six complete innings, allowing six runs on 10 hits with seven strikeouts.
The Lions and Gamecocks play the final game of the series on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
