KENNESAW, Ga. -- North Alabama completed its second ASUN Conference baseball series sweep of the season with a 12-5 win over Kennesaw State Sunday.
The Lions outscored the Owls 31-17 in the three-game series and improved to 12-36 overall and 6-21 in the ASUN Conference.
In Sunday's win, UNA got two runs in the first inning and never trailed. The Lions added solo runs in the fourth and fifth innings, three in the sixth, four in the eighth and one in the ninth.
All nine batters in UNA's starting lineup scored at least one run, with
Kyle Machado scoring three runs and
Jonathan Lane two.
North Alabama starter
Justus Agosto (2-5) got the win, pitching five complete innings and allowing three runs on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
Caden Barnett pitched an inning and a third and
Carson Howard pitched the final two and two-thirds innings.
Offensively, the Lions had four doubles, a triple by
Andrew Knight and home runs from
Gehrig Frei and
Dominick McIntyre.
UNA plays at Mississippi State Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m.
