JACKSONVILLE (February 26, 2025) – University of North Alabama junior Stanislava Bobrovnikova was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 19 – Feb. 25, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
Bobrovnikova was a key figure in North Alabama's undefeated week of action, leading to the junior's first ASUN weekly honor of her career. She earns UNA's second of the season, with sophomore Ada Karabacak taking home the first on Feb. 5.
She secured three wins from the top flight, helping North Alabama go 2-0 in home wins versus the Jackson State Tigers and Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Opening against the Tigers on Feb. 22, Bobrovnikova earned her fourth-straight singles win with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Paula Corbalan.
Against the Gamecocks, the junior went 2-0 on the day with both a singles and doubles win. She and partner Eeva Ristola defeated Jacksonville State's Anna Syrova and Zuzana Pavelekova in doubles with a 6-4 triumph.
The junior secured her second win with a 6-3, 6-2 singles victory over the Gamecocks' Polina Ramenskaja, extending her singles win streak to five matches.
Bobrovnikova and the Lions travel to Missouri for their next two outings, facing Missouri State and Southeast Missouri State on March 1 and 2 at noon.
