FLORENCE, Ala. (April 14, 2025) – The North Alabama baseball team mutually agreed with Samford to cancel their Tuesday, April 15 matchup in Florence, Ala.

Ongoing progress at Bank Independent Stadium at the University of North Alabama will allow Lions' baseball to host games at the new Mike D. Lane Field, beginning this Thursday, April 17. While the field is available to team personnel, many areas surrounding the playing field will be off-limits to the general public. Lion fans will have an opportunity to enjoy all the action, free of charge, from the College View Church of Christ parking lot. Construction on amenities such as the press box, grandstands, parking lots, video scoreboard and custom stadium finishes are scheduled for completion later this summer.
 
North Alabama plays their first ever game at the new field as the series against Bellarmine begins on Thursday, April 17 at 2 p.m. This will be the second meeting between the two this season.
