GREENWOOD, Ind. (May 27, 2025) – College Sports Communicators (CSC) revealed the 2025 Academic All-District awards for softball on Tuesday, listing seniors
Alivia Wilken and
Ryleigh Boyett from the University of North Alabama.
Both Boyett and Wilken are first-time winners of the award.
To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. The athletic criteria includes competing in 90 percent of games or starting 66 percent of games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
Wilken, a senior transfer from Wallace State, is in her second season at UNA. The left-handed pitcher tossed 142.0 innings to lead the team, sporting a 12-6 record and 2.66 ERA. Wilken has been the team's ace for the last two seasons, earning First Team All-ASUN honors last season. She intends to return to UNA in 2026 for her final year of eligibility.
Boyett, a four-year senior, played in 47 games with 42 starts at first base. The former Cookeville High School (TN) standout had a career season as a college senior, batting .295 with 39 hits, 10 doubles and two home runs. She was also a solid glove with a .989 fielding percentage — committing just three errors on 262 attempts.
UNA's softball program now has 16 CSC Academic All-District selections all-time, including seven over the last three seasons.
