UNA 2019: Led the Lions in wins, ERA and strikeouts as a reliever in the school's first season in Division I...5-2 record with one save and a 3.26 ERA...All but one of his 22 appearances were in relief...Lone start was at Kennesaw State where he allowed four runs over three innings...Pitched 58.0 innings, allowing 56 hits, 28 runs, 21 earned with 19 walks and 62 strikeouts...Opponents hit .252 against him...Threw 10 wild pitches and hit four batters...One balk...Got wins in four consecutive conference series against Stetson, Liberty, Jacksonville and North Florida...Followed with a non-conference win at Arkansas-Pine Bluff...Losses were to Tennessee Tech and Lipscomb...Named ASUN Pitcher of the Week for April 22 after pitching six and two-thirds innings in relief against North Florida and picked up the win in UNA's 8-4 ASUN victory...At the time, the six and two-thirds innings was the longest by any Lion pitcher of the season by a starter or reliever...He allowed just one run on four hits with one walk and eight strikeouts...It was the fourth consecutive appearance where Claunch has picked up a conference win... UNA 2018: Posted a 3-0 record…14 appearances with one start…3.25 ERA with 10 earned runs allowed in 27.2 innings pitched…Allowed 11 total runs on 24 hits with 12 walks and 37 strikeouts…Allowed seven extra-base hits (five doubles, two home runs), hit two batters and threw three wild pitches…Wins came against Lee, Montevallo and Alabama A&M…Had an .667 fielding percentage with three errors in nine chances…UNA 2017: Pitched in three games as a freshman with two starts…1-1 with a 6.00 earned run average, allowing seven runs, six earned, in 9.0 innings on the mound…Five walks and 10 strikeouts…Allowed even hits and opponents hit just .219 against him…His win came against LeMoyne-Owen with five complete innings pitched…Loss was at Auburn-Montgomery in 1.1 innings of relief…Also pitched 2.2 innings against Miles… Earned a spot on the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll…HIGH SCHOOL:  Played first base and pitched for Florence High School under head coach Steve Barrett… Helped his team to three consecutive state playoff appearances in 2014, 2015, and 2016… Received the 2016 Captain Award as a senior for the Falcons… Received the 2015 Iron Falcon Award as a junior… Named honorable mention all-area in 2015… Member of the Math Honor Society… PERSONAL: Full name is Bryant Gunner Claunch… Born on January 6, 1998… Son of Patrick and Kelly Claunch and has eight brothers and sisters… Majoring in Exercise Science… BATS LEFT, THROWS LEFT
