LION VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE

CLINTON, Miss., – North Alabama hit .391 as a team as the Lions topped Mississippi College 3-0 Friday in Gulf South Conference volleyball action. Lexie Bradley had 14 kills while Jessica Austin hit over .600 for the sixth time this season in the 25-12, 25-18, 25-16 road victory.
 
Austin, who leads the GSC with a .418 hitting percentage on the year, had 11 kills on 16 swings with an error for a .625 clip. Bradley continues to hold her lead in the conference with an average of 4.42 kills per set.
 
With the win, UNA improves to 21-6 on the season and 9-2 in league play.
 
Jayden Davila-McClary added 35 assists on the night and also leads the league with an 11.60 assists per set average. Ashtyn Kapovich led all defensive players with 11 digs.
 
Krista Zieschang led Mississippi College (10-17 overall, 2-9 GSC) with 11 kills.
 
UNA will play at West Alabama on Sunday. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at Pruitt Hall on the UWA campus in Livingston.
