LAFAYETTE, La. -- Louisiana held North Alabama to just four hits as the Ragin Cajuns downed the Lions 5-2 at M. L.Tigue Moore Field at Russo Park in game two of a three-game series.
UNA, now 7-37 overall, fell behind 2-0 as Louisiana scored single runs in the second and third innings.
Peyton Thomas then hit a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning for the Lions to close the gap to 2-1.
Louisiana, now 25-20, then padded its advantage with two runs in the sixth inning and one more in the eighth.
North Alabama's final run came in the top of the ninth as
Drew Hudson walked with one out and later scored on an RBI-double by Devin Daniel.

Chase Best (1-9) took the loss for the Lions, allowing a run on four hits in one and two-thirds innings of work.
Kyle Moore allowed a run on two hits over two innings on the mound, and freshman
Brycen Parrish had his longest stint of the season, pitching four and a third innings. Parrish allowed three runs on six hits and struckout four.
