RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky scored nine runs in the second inning and went on to a 15=8 win over North Alabama in the final game of an ASUN Conference baseball series.
The Colonels won all three games in the series to drop UNA to 9-28 overall and 2-16 in the ASUN.
UNA got a run in the first inning, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and four in the seventh.
North Alabama starter
Jacob James took the loss, allowing 11 runs, 10 earned, on eight hits over four and a third innings.
The Lions had their biggest home run production of the season as
Austin Thrasher,
Jonathan Lane,
Drew Hudson and
Garrett Smith all homered in the game.
Smith and Thrasher led UNA with two hits each.
North Alabama plays at Austin Peay on Tuesday.
