ORLANDO, Fla., – Peyton Lang and Ashtyn Kapovich each had career-high totals as the University of North Alabama volleyball team rallied for a 3-2 win over Barry Friday to open play at the South Region Crossover in Orlando. Lang produced 23 kills while Kapovich had 34 digs as the Lions improved to 17-3 on the season.

After falling 22-25 and 19-25, UNA reeled off three straight victories, winning 25-15, 25-19 and 15-8 to complete the comeback.

Lang's match-high kill total also included a .365 hitting percentage. She added 11 digs to record her fourth double-double of the season. Natasha Fomina added 16 kills on the night while Jessica Austin and Lexie Bradley had 10 kills each. UNA setter Jayden Davila-McClary paced the offense with 57 assists.

Defensively, Kapovich was able to eclipse the 30-dig mark for the second time in her career. She had at least five digs in every set, including two sets with eight digs each.

North Alabama improves to 3-1 on the year in five-set matches. The win is also the second five-set victory for UNA that included a rally from an 0-2 deficit. The Lions trailed Lee 0-2 before winning the match in five sets on Sept. 17, on the road.

UNA will play two more matches at the South Region Crossover on Saturday. The Lions are set to take on Eckerd at 12:15 p.m. and Saint Leo at 4:45 p.m. at the Orlando Sports Center. All times are Eastern.
