The University of North Alabama's Johnny O. Long Athletic Training Facility is located in the bottom floor of the Self Field House on the UNA campus.
The athletic training staff of the University of North Alabama is committed to providing high quality medical services to student athletes. Our services are provided in a caring and compassionate setting. All athletes are provided the necessary care that will return them to pre-injury status and back to competition as soon as possible with their safety in mind.
The athletic training facility at the University of North Alabama provides a comfortable atmosphere equipped with whirlpools, rehabilitative equipment and an area for taping.
Mission Statement
Athletic trainers supervise and administer the services of prevention, recognition, management, and rehabilitation of injuries sustained by student-athletes. We are responsible for all instances that affect the health and welfare of the student-athlete. This includes, participation, conditioning, protective equipment, nutritional concerns, and maintenance of safe playing fields and facilities. Athletic training is an allied medical profession. Lion Athletics is proud to have a close working affiliation with The North Alabama Bone & Joint Clinic. The University of North Alabama student-athlete is treated promptly and with focused attention.
