WALLEN SWEEPS GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

BIRMINGHAM – After already winning Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week honors three times, North Alabama's Ivy Wallen doubled up this week, taking home the freshman award again, along with the GSC Player of the Week tag.
 
Wallen, who is second in the league in scoring at 21.6 points per game, has led the Lions to a 9-0 start to the season, including a 3-0 showing in GSC play. UNA is the only undefeated team in the league. In wins last week over West Alabama and West Georgia, the freshman guard from Anderson averaged 25.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.

On the year, her scoring average is seventh in the nation. Wallen has scored at least 20 points in seven of her nine games this season.
